
As promised, 'Early Burd' (Glesga spellin!) rides on Saturday mornings, meeting at the Linthouse roundabout/garage on the Southside of the Clyde Tunnel are under way. Generally 3hr rides with a good pace - for the slightly more experienced I think. More details here.
Weekly 10am Sunday Club rides started in October. These are steady paced 40-50milers that are aimed to be sociable, provise a recovery run for the top end racers in the club and an endurance ride for the sportive riders amongst us. The meet point has been fixed as Beanscene, Kelvingrove until the end of the season.
Club weight and strength training also underway. Sessions Tues 7-8.30pm at Hutchesons Grammar and they will continue until the end of March.
Sun 29th January 10am - Meet point Beanscene, Kelvingrove - Forecast as uncertain as ever! No ride leader designated but there should be a crowd so say hello to one another.
Tues 31st January - Strength and conditioning The depth of squat at last weeks sessions was greatly impeded by the Christmas pud, hopefully this will have abated by now.
Weds 18th January 6pm - Western Infirmary turbo sessions. Email us for more info on this but in brief - an 8 week program in an air conditioned facility lead by Jason Roberts, with DVD distraction.
Sat 23rd January 10am - at the moment Torrance roundabout meeting point for interval training: lactate threshold and VO2 max here we come!
